The Elementary Guidance and Counseling Program of the Charlottesville City Schools recognizes that students who experience success in their learning environment, both academically and socially, will have a foundation for the development of their full potential. By providing developmentally appropriate opportunities for all children, the program encourages lifelong learning, promotes responsible decision making, fosters awareness of self and community, and facilitates respect for self and others.
